Sunnyview Park

Sunnyview Park is located at Providence Road and Sunnyview Drive.  The land was dedicated as a park in 1979 by Mr. John Vacok when he built Sunnyview Subdivision.  Trees were transplanted in the park in 1983.  In 1987 a matching grant from the State of Nebraska Game  and   Park  Commission for  $4,000.00  was   used  to  develop playground and picnic areas.  In 1989 a train engine and caboose built by the Public Works Department was added to the park and the department erected a shelter house with rest rooms in 1997.  Off street parking is available on the north side of the park on East 10th Street.

The park contains the following items and facilities:

        ·     Shelter House

        ·     Rest Room

        ·     Drinking Fountain with Spigot

        ·     3 BBQ Grills

        ·     Picnic Tables

        ·     Playground Equipment

        ·     Basketball Hoop
