Planting Guidelines

 

1.  Trees will not be planted within 20 feet of an intersection (property lines extended) or within the site triangle.

 

2.  Trees will not be planted within 20 feet of a stop sign, within 15 feet of a light pole, or anywhere that interferes with a sign.

 

3. Trees will not be planted within 10 feet of a fire hydrant.

 

4. Large trees should not be planted within 20 feet of either side of an overhead utility line.

 

5. Trees will not be planted in terraces where space is less than 8 feet.

 

6. Trees will not be planted within 4 feet of an existing concrete surface.

 

7. Large trees should be spaced at least 40 feet apart and at least 40 feet from existing trees when possible.

 

8. Ornamental trees should be spaced at least 25 feet apart and at least 30 feet from existing trees when possible.
