Wood Materials
The wood recycling center is merely a bare site where
small tree limbs and debris are stockpiled and then ground into wood chips or
grindings. Materials must be no more
than 8 inches in diameter and no longer than 6 feet in length in order for them
to fit into the tub of the tree grinder. The wood grindings from this material
are free to the public for use as mulch.
All other logs and other types of wood products must be taken to the
solid waste transfer station during its operating hours to obtain a key for
disposal at a secondary site.
Uncontaminated wood products are charged at one-half the price of solid
waste and there is no charge for large tree stumps or logs. Lawn or yard refuse is not accepted at this
site. Anyone caught leaving waste items
or materials at this site will be prosecuted.
