WAYNE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY

November 10, 2004

7:00 P.M.

The November, 2004 meeting of the Wayne Airport Authority reconvened on November 10 at 12:05 P.M. at the Santa Fe Grille in order to meet with a representative of the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics.  Members in attendance were Mitch Nissen, Dave Zach, and Carl Rump.  Also attending were Nancy Braden and Anna Lannin from the Department of Aeronautics.

The AWOS project was discussed with updates on costs and installation schedule.

There is a need to update the Airport Layout Plan and receive approval of any revisions from the FAA.  A major required change will be the need to widen airport property to a distance of 495' from the runway centerline.  (This will require an additional 105' to the east of runway 17/35).  After ALP approval and land acquisition, runway improvement projects can be submitted.

Mention was made that federal funds of up to $50,000/year will be available to the Wayne Airport.  These funds must be used within four years or they will be forfeited.  Projects that qualify under this funding process include land acquisition, buildings for airport equipment, terminal buildings, parking lots, fuel systems, and snow removal equipment.

A data sheet and pictures of available snow removal equipment was circulated.

A form will be sent to the Authority sometime during the next few weeks requesting a listing of capital improvement priorities.  This needs to be returned to the NDA.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:05 P.M.

Carl F. Rump, Acting Secretary
