Wayne Public Library Board of Trustees

Tuesday, September 7, 2004 / 5:15 p.m., Conference Room

AGENDA

CALL TO ORDER:  The Wayne Public Library Board met in regular session on Tuesday, September 7, 2004, at 5:15 p.m.

WELCOME NEW BOARD MEMBER:  Dennis Lipp was welcomed as our newest board member.

ROLL CALL:  All members were present except for Betty Heier.  A quorum was declared.  Betty Heier arrived shortly thereafter.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:  The minutes were approved as written.

FINANCIAL REPORT:

  • The staff is still working on spending the extra funds available for books.  Have updated several reference titles.  J. Osnes is in the process of identifying titles for next summer's reading program.
  • An unemployment claim has been submitted and will be charged against us in September.  It will be under $300.
  • Due to a changeover in how the accounting is done, this 2004-05 year will show 27 pay periods instead of 26.  That may very likely cause us to appear to be over-budget in personnel costs.
